Fluorescence Flora

This project explores the intersection of photography, ecology, and physics to expand understanding of a pervasive yet poorly understood natural phenomenon: that plants emit light through a process known as fluorescence. This phenomenon is invisible to the human eye, but I have discovered a method to record fluorescence on specialized film during extremely long exposures, often lasting a week or more. The resulting photographs have implications for ecology but also create a mesmerizing experience for art viewers, expanding curiosity about nature and our environment.
